2009 Center Console Latches

I broke the top latch in the center console. I got a replacement latch and spring, but can't figure out how to get the lids apart. Can't get to the bottom screws on the top lid, and may have to take the bottom lid off to get the top one loose. Can someone help?

you have to take the entire armrest out. There are 4 bolts under the armrest. This will cause the back cover to pry loose when attempting to remove the armrest. It takes a little shimmying, but it will come out. Now you have access to the rear screws under the armrest. After you replace the latch, reverse what you did and snap the rear cover back on.
