2004 Sonata v6 --spark plugs

I am in need of knowing which spark plugs I need for my car for the best results. This is the first time they have been changed! we are at 120,000 miles! no real problems as of yet, but I am sure I am driving on borrowed time here. I believe I need the NKG ones, but not sure exactly which ones I should get. Thanks.

Hello and welcome!

Off the NGK website

Standard (BKR5ES-11)
V-Power (BKR5E-11)
G-Power (BKR5EGP)
Laser Platinum (PFR5N-11)
OE Laser Iridium (IFR5E11)
Iridium IX (BKR5EIX-11)

You can get whatever brand you'd like. I generally go with NGK or Denso. Get the Iridium plugs. They generally last longer.

What is the different between OE Iridium and Iridium IX. Isn't it both made by NGK?

OE Iridium has platinum as well as iridium. It has longer life. Iridium IX just has iridium and has lower life.

So i guess Iridium IX is meant for performance? Track days? Doesn't seem like something someone would use if daily driving.
