2012 Sonata Hybrid Loss of power
I Have a 2012 Sonata Hybrid. I was doing about 70 with cruise control on, when the eco gauge went to full and I started to slow down. My cruise control never turned off until I hit the brakes myself. Once I hit the brakes, the oil light flickered slightly, and I had to pull over, turn my car off, and back on for the issue to go away. It has happened 2 times now, the second time I never used my cruise control. I've seen some posts that it might be the brake light stopper pad, but i was hoping someone might have some additional info, since no one else with the issue had mentioned the oil light flicker. The oil is full, so I know that's not the issue. Both times this has happened, i just turned the car off and back on and it went away for the rest of the day. I use this car for work, and need to get it taken care of quickly. There is no longer a dealer in my city and the nearest is around 200 miles away (Montana). I tried to call one dealer and his first instinct was to tell me I needed a whole new engine, which seems slightly drastic, when it could be a 2 dollar part. Any help is appreciated.
