2011 Sonata - Have to press start pushbutton twice?

Anyone else run into the problem of having to depress the start pushbutton twice to start AND turn off the car? I've looked at the other start pushbutton threads, and have replaced and adjusted the brake pedal switch, but continue to get the message on the dash display of "Press Start Button Again"...both for starting and turning off the car. Just recently started after we bought the car from family - it has about 150K on it and they said they haven't had this issue before
