2015 sonata obd cover won't close with gps tracker

Hello, Is there any portable gps tracker that when plugged in to the OBD port on the 2015 Hyundai Sonata, will let you close the cover? I have tried the Motosafety gps tracker, with and without an extension cord, but neither will allow you too replace the cover on the obd port on control panel.
