2021 Sonata voice recognition not working

My voice recognition also stopped working but I did download the navigation update. I believe it was a May 23 version and VOILA my voice recognition works and I don't have to plug my phone in to make phone calls. I don't know why Hyundai doesn't bother telling us that the voice recognition doesn't work because it needs to be updated instead of giving everyone the runaround replacing buttons that don't need to be replaced? I know a couple people that own Kia's that have the same issue and I'm going to help them try to update their navigation system. If you do it the right way it'll work!

Thank you for your message. I am very frustrated that we lost our V.R. The dealer has "fixed" the problem twice - updated the computer software, etc. We also don't have working interior lights when opening the door; the "all unlock" when put in park is also sketchy and intermittent. Terribly disappointed in the service - wait for an appt; closed over the holidays. We just completed a 11 hour drive without being able to use the navigation system (no voice) AND, no hands free phone calling. This car has only 6000 miles on it. Sonata Hybrid... great mpgs - and comfortable but seriously have had it with the V.R. failures.
Maybe better off just going to my Hyundai and following the steps to download the system navigation upgrade and fix your car yourself that's what I did and it works after getting the runaround and new buttons from Hyundai apparently they don't know what the heck's going on with their own vehicles
