So, anyone here own a 2022 N line, and if so, has it ever pretty much died on you while you were driving? Been 2 months now without my car because it needs the tranny replaced.. Just curious if anybody's having the same issue.

It’s probably taking a long time to replace or fix due to part’s shortages. Especially with a new car. Most available parts are being use to build new cars. But you should call corporate Hyundai and let them know it’s taking too long and if there’s anything they can do.

Hi from Melbourne Australia.

I have a 2022 Nline Sonata just clicked over 20,000 klm’s

I have just experienced this on 5 occasions to which the first 4 times I was able to get going by restarting the car within a few seconds the 5th time it took approx 10 mins to get going again but with very little power. I would accelerate with no response and sounded like the engine was choking. Concerning factor is on each occasion no warning light’s appeared on my dash. Car is currently with dealership awaiting feedback.

I have a 2021 Sonata N-Line and just went over 30K miles and have a service scheduled for 22 Sept. Issue started for me Friday morning (16th) when I placed the car in reverse. R showed on the dash and when I applied the accelerator, the car did not move and the R started flashing on the dash. No warning lights. I put the car in park and then reverse and tried again, this time the car moved. I then placed the car in drive, the D showed on the dash and I started to go, but the trans would not shift into 2nd until I was well over 4K RPM. The going from 2nd to 3rd the car hesitated and the RPM's dropped about 200 RPM before going into 3rd. All of the other gears seemed to operate normally at that point. Also of note, the paddle shifters were not operational. Drove the rest of the way to work, about 15 miles, and the transmission continued to act this way. After I got to work and placed the car in park, the check engine light came on.
Called my dealership to tell them what was going on and asked that they look at my car. They told me that they had no openings for service until after 25 Sept. I told them that I did not feel safe operating this car acting like it was and asked for a loaner while waiting on them to look at/fix the car. They said they could not give me a loaner until they diagnosed the car and then that they did not have any loaners to give out anyway. At that point I just hung up. I left work early that day and took the car to the dealership. I again told them what was going on. They told me that a person that had scheduled service had not shown up and that they could get me in to look at my car. These are the actions they performed.

30175 Cleared codes with GDS performed update air bleed and relearn.
B T8N~~20DA17R0 - TM, DN8, NXT 2.5T TCU UPDATE (22-01-059H)
CAMP PERFORM OPEN CAMPAIGN #
731278 WAR
30175 Recall performed update completed and relearn and bleed performed.

Zero cost for that.
Car worked like a champ for like 30 min before it started having the trans issues and the check engine light came on again.
I was able to get the car home and in the garage. After that the trans would shift, but the car would not move and the gear indicator on the dash would flash.
I called the Hyundai Roadside Assistance for a tow and had the car taken to the dealership the next day (Sat). The car is sitting there now waiting on the dealership to decide how they are going to proceed.
I explained that the whole reason I went with Hyundai was for the warranty. I bought this car because of the warranty. Now they are telling me that warranty is useless? I am very close to reaching out to a lawyer to see what my options are.

Sitting on the side of the road right now with identical problem. Waiting for tow truck.
UPDATE: My 2022 N Line with 11,600 miles made it to a nearby Hyundai dealership last night, 12/6. It now resides there. They were able to look at it Thursday morning, 12/7, the transmission did "it's thing" for them, THANKFULLY. The dealership contacted HYUNDAI, who said they were aware of the problem, transmission oil pressure sensor, and Hyundai Engineers are trying to resolve the issue/repair and start a recall. I was told to come in for a loaner. I asked the expected time for this repair/recall and was told "probably not until the end of the month, at earliest". Ho, Ho, Ho, Merry Christmas from Hyundai! When fixed, I'll update with what was done. HO, HO, HO. 😡

My 2022 N Line was towed to Hyundai dealership 12/6. 12/7 I was informed to come in for loaner and get mentally prepared for ONE MONTH! At least mileage will be put on one of THEIR CARS.

Well, well. If that's the end result, Hyundai offering a buy back let's get on with it! I don't want to drive their loaner for several months waiting. ☹

BTW, my N-Line is in Gastonia, NC. The service writer told me he has had one in their shop since August. Is this you or just another unlucky soul? I'm not interested in making payments on something for the next 4 - 6 months while they sit on their brains.

If you don't mind, what hoops and loops did you have to go through to get Hyundai to buy back your N Line. Mine was promised out the shop either 1/16 or 17. On 1/18 I was told the new projected repair date is end of MARCH!
I was going through the same problem they no the transmission is screwed up they will do whatever to get out of a lawsuit at this point,I contacted a lawyer to ask questions but never used him ,he told me everything they where giving me was right in line what he could get .
