Considering buying a 2023 base model Sonata. What's the verdict of those who have the current gen car? I previously owned a 2011 and 2019 Sonata and those were good cars.

Is the insurance rate good? Is the car quiet and efficient on road trips? Does it have the auto start-stop feature (and if so can it be defeated)?

Thanks in advance.

Hey there, I'm a young owner of a 2021 Hyundai Sonata SE, and I got to say its everything I would want. Its relatively quest with the radio off, but you can still hear the engine if you send it. I drive rather aggressively and still make over 25 mpg on average. My insurance is a little high because of my age, but by comparison it was a lot cheaper than some other options. They do come with auto stop and start, but you can easily turn that off with a button to the left of the steering wheel. I would highly recommend the new gen Sonatas, so go for it in my mind.

Thanks for the input. Saw a new Accord and Sonata parked side by side. No question which one was more stylish.

I have a 2022 N-Line Night Edition for over a year now. I absolutely love it. It rides very nice in comfort mode and handles extremely well in Sport mode. I would recommend
the Sonata to just about anyone that is looking for a new car.

I too am a new and first time owner of a 2023 Hyundai Sonata Hybrid Limited. I just picked it up on January 28th. It's been amazing since the first time I test drove it. It's very quiet and smooth. It has a very luxurious feel and look. You would never guess it was a Hyundai if you first saw one. Hyundai has come so far from it's humble beginnings. The current generation of Hyundai is leaps and bounds much better than it was just a few years ago. I highly recommend the Sonata.

Thanks everyone for your analysis.
You are welcome. I have a few questions for you. Are you looking to get the Base Gas model or would you consider the Base Hybrid model. If you have the extra cash I would highly recommend the Base Hybrid Blue model. I myself have the Hybrid Limited model. If you have anymore questions just ask away.
