Brake issues on daughter's 2013 Sonata

My daughter has a 2013 sonata. Although I haven't witnessed it, she is stating that her brake lights will come on during the night by themselves and run her battery down. She says that she's actually seen this happen at work because she can see the car from where her office is.

The other issue that she's dealing with is the car is automatically breaking which he's driving it and slowing her down in traffic. The car is currently in a repair shop and nobody seems to know what the problem might be.

I'm hoping that somebody on the forum has experienced this themselves and can lead us in the right direction. Any help will be greatly appreciated!
