Sounds like your bodyshop didn't blend the paint and rather just direct painted/sprayed causing it to mismatch.... can the camera capture the mistmatching paint? mind posting some photos?

Im hoping you can offer some insight on something. I recently had some bodywork done on my 2011 black Sonata. With paint sprayed on from the body shop and 6 coats of clear, there is a lustre missing... It almost looks like its a different black, but has been confirmed by Hyundai Canada that it is the right black. Its seems to have far less of the metal flakes then the rest of the car which makes me wonder.
Could it be all it needs is a good buffing? or am I destined to live with imperfection going forward.

The 2011 Phantom black is slightly different from the 2012 Midnight Black.
