Is there a way to turn the traction control off, so that it is defaulting off when your turn the car on? I want to turn the traction control on when I need it and have it off for the other 90% of the time. Basically leave it on for rain but it is very unessasry for highway driving on a sunny day.

Can you put the car in a program mode and turn it off, or can you wire up a switch?

I know this is something that can be done in my Toyota Tacoma.

Since the button is for the OFF setting, I doubt even the dealer would do it. Perhaps using a sticky note where you see everytime you start the car to turn it off would work???
That's what I do. It's now a habit to turn it off unless weather dictates it's use. I'm sure it helped them get a better safety rating with it being on in default.

Yea on cars with traction control I made it a habit to turn it off. Some say its foolish to turn traction control off but I am fine with controlling my own throttle and steering.
