What about the Chevrolet Impala?

The 2012 Sonata Hybrid was built in South Korea, and 90 percent of its parts were made there, including the engine and transmission. Only 2 percent of the parts were made in the U.S. or Canada (considered to be "domestic" parts), and Hyundai does not specify which those are. This is required information supplied by Hyundai to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration that is included on the window stickers of all cars and light trucks sold in the U.S.

Hyundai has not released parts content on the 2013 Sonata Hybrid.

In contrast, the 2012 Impala had 80 percent domestic-parts content. The Impala is built in Ontario, Canada, and depending on the model, the engine and transmission were built in the U.S. or Mexico. For the 2013 Impala, the domestic-parts content has dipped to 75 percent, and the engines are sourced from Canada and transmissions from the U.S.

How much of the 2012 Hyundai Sonata Hybrid is made in the U.S.? -
