I am currently using the Neotech VE coilovers on my 2007 Sonata.
The ride is pretty good (i previously had H&R lowering springs and Neotechs ride ALOT better than the H&R springs)

The height is adjustable but the dampening is not..
However if dampening adjust is a must for you.. Neotech LE is also available which is 3-400$ more depending on where you get it from

dang, I am lovin your ride man.
I see you said you had H&Rs on it before..how much did it drop your Sonata? and do you have the GLS v6?

I'm only 17 and I do not work much, so naturally, I try to find the best bang for my buck, and I purchased the H&R sports and I am actually planning to install them tomorrow morning. How much drop should I expect, I have an 06 GLS v6.

I know the Sport springs say around 1.4" drop, but would I maybe get a little bit more out of them?

And I like your attempts at keeping the forum lively! haha
^nope, mines a 4 banger... lol

The h&r springs drop 1.4" front and 1.3" back but honestly that was not enough low for me...
from my experience though, the v6 are dropped more from the same springs due to heavier weight of the engine.

i recently sold my old h&r springs for dirt cheap to another sonata guy in new jersey lol... should have buzzed this forum earlier! haha

but yeah, let me know how it goes
Hey man, thought I would check in and let you know how I like the H&R Sports. I REALLY like them, I am far from a driver for sport, but the smoothness and stiffness of the ride is wayy better than stock. I like the drop, too. You were right, my v6 probably dropped a bit more because there is about a 2 finger gap instead of the old 4 and a half
Overall, I am satisfied.

By the way, what kind of front lip do you have, and do you have black projector headlight housings as well?
check on the appearance and body sub forum, i have posted a how to on the headlights, and how much did you sell the springs for?
i sold them for $100 and went halfie on shipping..

post some pics!!

btw my lip is not actually a lip lol.. its a garage door sealer diy front lip..
check the diy section, i posted step by step instructions

and yes my headlight housing is modified, i also posted some info on the appearance and body section
**** man what made you go with the 4 banger instead of the v6 power?

^it was just handed down from my rents, so i didnt complain.. at the time i had 2 cars, i had 95 sc300 which was my fun car although it was n/a 2jz ge... and this was my commuter but than 2 months later sc got totaled by some truck at yellow light.

and after i just spent money on this car..
v6 must be nice with more options, however i dont really care because sonatas are not made to go fast anyways..

i will be possibly getting another 2nd 'fun' car in the summer, possibly a 2000-2001 integra type r
or worst case might even say bye bye to the sonata :( and get a 08 tl type s this coming summer:)
if you rice the integra i would be mad, i actually almost got that as my first car, or an rsx, a i hate that that car is now the civic si

and if you do have to sell the nata, then put me first on the list if you part it out to stock
^lol........... what makes you think im going to rice out a dc2.....?

and NO this car is NOTHING like the 8th gen civic si's... its 110% different, itr is way more raw

most i will do to it is jdm front end conversion, bride brix buckets, tein coilovers, t1r exhaust, and if i really have to.. use the oem type r 15's for track wheels wrap in falken azenis and buy street wheels, possibly mugen mf10 or something other.. i got it all planned out already :)

unlike the sonata this one will be function>form, garage kept, and track usage or nice sunny days only, no hellaflush **** on the type r, thats runing it

i also have 4 friends who own type r's, i know my shitzz :D
im not saying their similar, i just saying that the integras became rsx's which are now civic si's

Like i said i was look at these before i got the sonata, their nice cars, i just hate to see them riced out, on my drive to school there is one that drives around without the hood, and exhaust, and CAI, complete rice bucket, i whould just hate to see you go in that direction after owning a sonata.
is this still ur tire setup?

How much do the ixion grills go for? Im trying to do some performance right now but I will be looking into customizing with accessories I just have the interior LEDs turn signal LEDs tinted windows at 15% and tinted tail lights
it was a bit pricey.. i got it for $180 WITHOUT paint on koreanautoimports.com
but that was more than a year ago so you should be able to get it for cheaper now

HELP HELP HELP, and here's my car hehe

Here are the first pics of my car ever online haha sorry they aren't from very good angles. I am replacing the front headlight tint with some black housings soon :) and I apologize for my dulled tires :p I usually keep them sparkling wet.

But I have a problem and I hope you can help!!!

My car is in dire need of an alignment FAST as my tires are wearing and my dad is getting pissed. I got an adjustable ball joint kit for my front tires (Eibach kit from TireRack) and that is pretty much the ONLY thing I can find for Sonata alignments. However, when I took it into my local shop they said the ball joints don't work (too big) and I need to find another kit. What did you use??!! and if you never got your car aligned, do you know anything I can buy because I am running out of time and rubber!!!! PLease help quick!
Thanks

..strange, i never had to buy any ball joint kits..
So all you did was take it into like a tire shop or something and they took care of the alignment for you?

This is a mystery to me because after looking around on different forums and such, it doesn't appear that anyone had to buy anything special, but why are numerous places telling me I need a camber kit? Something must be up..
