New Here!

Enrolled over a year ago to research my then new car but do not think I have ever introduced myself.

Car needs it 15,000 mile service. Does is really need everything they say and why is it so much? Can get an oil change, break inspection, tire rotation for $39.95 and I think the other stuff is just inspection of some hoses for $170. Not able to post this anywhere else so I am posting it here.

But I still love my 2015 Sonata!

Hi guys, I'm Kado and I absolutely love my Sonata. It's a 2013 2.0t Limited, just lowered it roughly an 1" on Megan Racing coilovers. It's been a week... and it's been fantastic!! Steering is tighter, more responsive and sporty feelng. The ride is firm, but not terribly stiff. If you're considering it, do it!!

Anyways, I look forward to being part of the community, I haven't been this siked for a car in while. It looks gorgeous, it handles great, and overall the quality isn't too bad. I reside in Denver, CO. I chief quite a bit and ride a ZX10R if anybody else rides! Also, I tried uploading photos via the paper clip icon on my phone browser. Let me know if you can't see them.

Cheers.

New hyundai owner

Hi to all,

Just bought an 08 Sonata GTS with 128,000. Seems like it was well maintained and was once an Enterprise Certified Used Car.

Coming from Hondas and Toyotas, I am impressed so far. I had rented Hyundai's a couple of times during my days as a Road Technician and was impressed so I thought I'd try one.

My first question is has anybody added a rear stabilizer such as what comes on the SE (Sport) to the GLS? Or any other mods or upgrades to give better, sportier handling to the GLS?

Thanks

Dave

I have not introduced myself, but I am a Chicago suburb resident. I have a hose dangling from the driver's side with a clip on it, and I was trying to find out whether this had occurred to anyone, and how it was resolved. Otherwise my 2013 Sonata GLS is not a bad car.

My name is Bill I drive I'm driving a pearl white 2010 Sonata 2.4 with beige cloth interior. I'm interested in getting a new one since it's been a great car. I'm just now at 97k miles and am ready for a new one. I'm considering maybe the 1.6 turbo Eco version since I've read it's even more fun to drive than all of the other Sonata's supposedly. I live in the desert in Scottsdale Arizona so having a white car with cloth interior is pretty prime.

Project 2017 Quartz White Sonata

Hello guys! Dan here. I just recently purchased my 2017 Quartz White Hyundai Sonata, and so far I am loving it! I live on the Coastal Islands of North Carolina known as The Outer Banks! I am interested to see what size wheels you guys are using for aftermarket visuals. I am considering 19's. I'm also looking to see what trouble I would have to go through to get a Subwoofer installed...

I have big plans for this car, as I did for my last! This should be a fun project.
So far I plan to drop the car on lowering springs
Aftermarket 19" 5-spoke wheels
Retrofit Headlight build
Gloss black grille, roof & chrome accent wraps
Exhaust

Hello

Hello everyone, I'm from New Jersey and just got a 2016 Sonata Hybrid Limited. It wasn't brand new, one of the dealer managers was driving it, so it had about 2000 miles on it. I think I got a great deal on it, especially since it is loaded.
Been driving it a little over a week now, and according to the internal calculator, I'm getting about 43 mpg's; I do a lot of commuting, so not sure how accurate that number is.

Does anyone else have a hybrid?

Hey guys,

My name is Jon Zechman, I live in Lebanon, PA. I drive a 2006 Sonata with the 3.3 V6, I've had it for about two years now and I bought it 3 days before going to college with 146k on it and it hasn't let me down yet and currently has 173k. I am a diesel mechanic, and also a student at Penn College of Technology. When kids found out I drove a Hyundai you could imagine the harassment I got, until we all left class one day and I left tire marks pulling onto the highway. It quickly gained respect haha! Anyways, I look forward to learning a lot from you guys on this forum.

Hello everyone,

Purchased 7-14-18.
Just pulled the trigger on a '15 Nouveau Blue Sonata Sport w/17k. Initially, I had my eye on a Limited, by the time I arrived at the dealer it had been sold. Looked a little more and found this bad boy. The only thing it didn't have was the panoramic sunroof. For me it wasn't a deal breaker and so I went for this one. Couldn't be happier. I've already updated it to add CarPlay and it works amazingly. Look forward to chatting and learning all I can about our cars.

Hello, i am new to this forum. I leased a 2018 Hyundai Sonata Sport for my daughter 1 year ago. She and 3 of her friends were rear ended by a man going 70 miles per hour and did not stop. My daughter and all 3 passengers walked away from the accident. That car saved my daughter and her friends lives. The car was totaled but all airbags deployed; crumple zones supported the blow, and the cabin created a safe zone that kept them alive. They were hit so hard they were driven into the car in front and both front and back were crushed. I would like to share the pictures and you will see if it weren’t for the safety features of this car, my daughter may have been killed. I would love the opportunity to thank the people involved in building in so much safety into my daughters car. I am your #1 Fan Dad! Please share with you Senior Management because they need to hear this and know how grateful I am! Thank you and God bless you all!

Hello all and think you in advance since I'm sure I'll take advantage of all the experience you folks have.

I've been a member of several forums on various cars over the years and know the value of sharing one another's pain and triumphs.
