Hey members! New to the forum. Bought a new 2017 sport 2.0t about a year ago! Love it so far! I’ve had the windows tinted, plasti dipped the emblems, wrapped the chrome trim,roof,and spoiler, and tinted parts of the headlights and taillights. Looking forward to see what everybody has done and learn some new things and get some ideas. Very excited to join!!

long time lurker. First time poster

I had a 2014 Sonata that got totaled 3 days before Xmas. So I kept it in the Hyundai family and I got a 2015 Sonata 2.0t limited w/ tech package. I originally liked my 2014 better but this car is growing on me. The interior is much nicer. Since

I’ve bought it in January:
19x8.5 Niche VOSSO’s
235/40/19 Nexen
(who knows the tire name)

Vinyl gloss black out on all the chrome.

Matte black and carbon “K” emblems.
(Ordered gloss black and they shipped me this. Do not recommend that company)

I’ll get more pictures once it’s another nice day.

I'm back.
Been a few years, (and 4 new Mitsubishi's) but I'm back in a 2016 White Sonata Hybrid SE as of today.
I'm already liking the MPGs, but I really dig the Hybrid front grill.

Gotta do some black out of the emblems and chrome trim and get some tint, but "IM BACK".

2015 Sonata

Hi, I drive a 2015 Sonata Limited Sport. I've had the car since it was new, and it has given me good service, but for some reason the clock is no longer showing the time automatically. I'm looking to see if someone else has had the same problem.

Hi guys, I am Dave and live in Seattle. I purchased my sister's 2002 Hyundai Sonata for my daughter's to drive about 6 years back. It has been through one daughter and the second daughter is starting to drive it as well -- though currently I am the main driver of the vehicle. We are hoping it will make it through the second daughter as she begins her college life. So far, so good!

Hey everyone! I'm Cari from PA and I have a 2014 Pearl White Sonata 2.0T with about 37k miles on her. It has the black/carbon fiber interior. I absolutely love it!


These are the mods I've done so far:


Tinted windows (32% VLT)
Vland smoked headlights with LED DRL's, sequential turn signals, and 6000k HID's
Vland smoked tail lights with LED brake, turn signal, and reverse bulbs
All interior 6000k LED's
Courtesy door lights with clear lenses and 6000k LED's
Blacked out (plasti dipped) rear badges, emblem, and trunk trim
Blacked out (3M black reflective tape) rear reflectors


Next mods:


Spyder smoked fog lights with 6000k LED's
Black badgeless grill
Black machined rims

I used to drive Sable wagons and the Sonata is the closest I have come to the comfortable ride of the Sable plus it has a few more bells and whistles. And it handles well in Minnesota weather in the winter.

Hello, I am Prabhu from Pennsylvania. I have a used 2016 Hyundai Sonata plugin hybrid, which I bought close to 2 years ago. It's a good dependable car, with a great range. Usually with daily charging I can get any where between 800 miles to 1200 miles per tank of gas, depending on the weather and usage of AC. If I go on long trips, 600 miles per full tank of gas + full charge, easy! Love that range. I have a coupe of questions around spare tire, and blue tooth features, so I joined this forum.

Hey! I'm Clark. I just moved from NYC to Montreal temporarily & just bought my first car. It's a 2014 Sonata Hybrid Limited. It has rear heated seats and climate vents, which I understand to be rare for the '14 model as Hyundai removed it for that model year. Seems I have an early-production vehicle, before they removed those feautres. I intend to keep the car for my 3-year stay in Canada. At just over 100,000 miles, I do not expect it to last much longer than that. If it still has some resale value when I move back to the states, great.

Before this I drove my parent's 2017 Toyota Camry. It's amazing how much better this HSH is than a car 3 years older. I get heated leather seats, loads of tech features (most of which are admittedly obsolete in 2020), a much more comfortable ride, and my absolute favorite - a panoramic sunroof. I mainly looked at Hyundais & Kias due to the plethora of luxury features they offer for a great price, and was willinbg to sacrifice the added reliability of Hondas and Toyotas in the same price range as those cars were typically very bare-boned.

I've only had the Sonata for a bit over a week, and am loving it. Drives really well. It only suffers from that model year's small issues, like headlights being focused too low & a horrendous backup camera delay

I like the idea of car model fora to exchange info. My last car was a 2001 Lexus Es, and its forum helped me a lot for maintenance and trouble shooting.

Hey, my name is Darius Alexander-Jones and I personally don't drive a Hyundai but I purchased a 2019 Genesis G90 for the wife and a pair of 2017 Hyundai Sonata's for my two boys. I am interested in recommendations for a wheel package for one of the 2017 Sonata Sports. The color of the car is Brown and I would like to get a 19" or 20" wheel package with brown/bronze color to complement the car itself.

I am also not new (although rarely posted) but recently traded in a red 2013 Sonata Hybrid basic for a white 2017 Sonata Hybrid Limited. Love the safety and convenience features such as smart cruise control, smart high beam headlights, lane monitoring, blind-spot monitor, backup camera, sunroof/moonroof, heated/cooled leather seats, navigation system, and more.
