When I purchased my 2011 Limited, I got that certificate saying how much I would be guaranteed trade in for different months.

I had my car for 27 months with 32k miles. According to my assurance certificate, I would get $14753 guaranteed trade in. (sounds great!)

So I take it to the dealer, he looks the car over and offered me $15670 for it. Had I just given him the certificate, I would have been shorted $1000.

Just my little word of advice, have them look before you say a word.

Sometimes it is smart to open your mouth, other times better to keep your mouth shut. You know the difference. Congrats on saving nearly $1,000.
