2012 Sonata 2.0T - Radio keeps powering off

hi on my hyundai 2012 2.0T the radio just started powering off & on & the off again not to return until ... i don't know sometimes the next morning sometimes on the next restart of the car... etc...

What i noticed is if the radio is running & i hit the dash it will turn off & sometimes come back but most often it won't. I've had my mechanic test the cables from the fuse box & they are all good. He's indicated its probably the radio (i.e. some connector internally is dislodging etc ... or missing solder...)

Any ideas? further i'm looking for a jabbar part on ebay but i'm not sure which one will work with my car. I called the dealership & they've indicated my radio is part #
96190-3Q6504X but i dont know if say the radio labelled


96190-3Q700 will work..

This may put your mind at ease.
I had a 2009 Genesis V8. (MotorTrend Car Of The Year). It would do the exact same as yours. Learned that when I would shut car off, like when getting gas, radio would come back on once car restarted. Car had to be off for three or five minutes so Car could could reset. (If car was shut down and restarted within one minute, Radio would still be silent).

Hopes this helps your mind.

My 2015 and 2018 both do not have this problem.
